Absolutely barbaric!!! Nobody used milk.... I prefer a bit of oregano in it.. Always must have cheese... I don't think ham, bacon, salami, etc., is necessary.

the salt actually has two functions; salting out of the proteins (separating it from water, thereby evaporating only the water to minimize the amount of moisture in the final product) and to make it cook much faster

I am in culinary school for baking but I have to pass off a French omelette as part of the course. Seeing the level 3 chef do it, helped me a lot. I agree with most everyone and think Lorenzo's omelette looked the tastiest though.

Lorenzo's was the only one I actually would like to eat. And not just because I love bacon. That's only 94% of the reason. Barb's looked like the sort of pretentious rubbish that people who think they are much better cooks thsn they are make. I hate it when food doesn't taste like it's supposed to because a chef put too much extra in there - like the lasagna I had a while ago which had garlic, nutmeg, and about 5 other strong flavours in it. Emily's just looked rubbish - I hate that kind of ham. She seems like she could become a lot better cook with a little effort though.

level 5: make a omelet and not a tortilla. the original omelet is more similar to the omelet make by the japaneses this tortilla it was make to be a form more simple to services in the hotels -or that is what my teacher in culinary school tell us-

When I make an omelet I like to cook it in bacon grease and I cook it on one side then flip it over and cook it on the other so it's still evenly Cooks. Only bad thing about when I make omelettes is I tend to overfill the mutually because I like lots of meats and cheeses. If I'm using vegetables it's either bell peppers or jalapenos. And then I like to put my omelette on top of some fried corned beef and hash

Actually, I think my omelettes outdo any of these. I learnt how to make a basic omelette by watching a Jamie Oliver video and now I have perfected my technique. I add milk, season with salt, pepper and cayenne, and start with a mixture of butter and vegetable oil in the pan. I use Low to medium heat. My favourite toppings include small dabs of goats’ cheese and homemade basil pesto. I don’t allow the bottom to brown and I slide the omelette halfway onto the plate while the top is still semiliquid, before folding it once. I often garnish it with fresh parsley. It’s divine.

I never use salt; the salt in the cheeses is always enough. Also I always use low heat and a top, covering the pan. By covering the pan even after folding, I'm getting a more even heat distribution, the cheese always melts, and I don't need to brown the bottom. What level chef am I?

@Just2nv And I just made another omelet with sour cream, chives, and parsley whipped into the eggs. Cheddar, pecorino, garlic filling. Does that erase my melanin, too? If so, I'd make a fortune sellin' it in Asian countries--LOL!
